TWB - University of Toronto Chapter at the University of Toronto Students Union's Clubs Day

As part of Orientation Week at the University of Toronto, Teachers Without Borders - University of Toronto Chapter
is kicking off their programming for the 2009-2010 academic year at the University of Toronto Students Union's Clubs Day event on Friday, September 4th, 2009!

If you're an incoming student, current student, or interested prospective member of our group, please come to our booth to find out about how our TWB On Campus group will help spread TWB-Canada's vision on campus and in the community! We're also accepting members to help us with our events and intiatives this year!

In addition, we also launching our year-round book and school supplies drive at this event. Please bring in your gently used children's books and school supplies and help out children in our community who are in need of these educational supplies.

As per Children's Book Bank's wishes:
"The Children's Book Bank requests that donations NOT include adult books or novels, young adult books or novels, school or text books, discarded school or library books, magazines, damaged books or books published more than 10 years ago. Dictionaries are welcome."

We will be accepting the following for school supplies donations:
crayons, pens, pencils, pencil crayons, erasers, geometry sets, rulers, glue sticks, safety scissors, highlighters, calculators, paper, notebooks, tape, staplers, holepunchers, binders, backpacks... just about anything that would be found on a Back To School retail flyer!

We hope to see you at the event! Come to our booth... stick around for the post-event entertainment! Word has it that Talib Kweli (popular MC from America) and rising Canadian star Anjulie will be playing at the Orientation concert!
