Advice on Rwanda July 2009

I am heading to Rwanda with a group called the Canadian Center for Genocide Education in July. The focus of our trip will be the effects and recovery of Rwandans from the Genocide and coincides with its 15th anniversay. I have had several offers from local businesses and school districts to provide school supplies for Rwandan children but have no experience or contacts in the country. I am not sure if there is an easy way to bring/send supplies or protocol for distribution. I would welcome any thoughts or advice. Thank you in advance,
