Novels for grades 7-9 with globalization themes

Hello fellow educators,

I am student teaching at an alternative school in Montreal, QC and I am looking to introduce a few novels to my students that explore themes of global education. I would really like to make my students more aware of the differences between the education they recieve in Montreal, Canada, compared to other places in the world. Does anyone have any recommendations?
