I am a beginning teacher but have had a lot personal experience with the organization Free the Children/ME to WE. I have been involved with many of their programs over the past 6 years and wish to bring more of these experiences to my own classroom.

I have also traveled to a variety of places for both pleasure, work and volunteerism and feel that it would be great to meet up with other classrooms, teachers and students around the world!

If you have done work internationally, where and in what capacity?

* Guyana, South America - Volunteer - worked with youth doing educational workshops with them on a variety of topics (HIV/AIDS, relationships, gender roles, healthy eating)

* Peru, South America - Volunteer - chaperoned and participated in a high school trip where students and myself were involved in helping a rural community with goods, teachings and manual labour to build a library.

I heard about TWB-Canada through the British Columbia Teachers Federation.

I would like to make connections to help myself and others in brings diverse education to our classrooms.
