I am interested in the role that sports can play in various aspects of international development.
If you have done work internationally, where and in what capacity?
I worked in China for 4 years. For 2 years I was teaching PE and for 2 years I was the PE department head.
If you are willing to volunteer, in what area(s):
curriculum development, internships, researchers
How did you hear about us and a few words why you want to join EBB:
I found out about EBB through searching the internet. While I was living abroad I became very interested in how 'sport' can be used in development and educational settings. I completed a Certificate in International Development through UBC while I was working in China and I'm hoping to meet people with similar interests.

Sorry, and the sports for development initative program was called. "International Inspiration". It's connected with UK sports and an NGO called Magic Bus in India. Half of India was collaborating with UK Sports through the Right to Play and the other half with Magic Bus. You may be able to google search for more info about International Inspiration.
Wow! So you're in Lesotho right now? I'll be going to Kenya with EBB this August to do pro-d workshop with teachers there. Where were you in China when you taught there? I travelled quite a bit through the country and volunteered in an orphanage there during the fall of 2008.
I'm an elementary teacher in Vancouver, also doing work with EBB to create campus connections. I'm hoping to get something started up at UBC and noticed that you completed the International Development certificate there. I actually have been contemplating the certificate also. Would love to connect to hear about your experiences. I'm not a P.E. teacher, but I did a program assessement for UNICEF India last year on a pilot sports for development initiative. Please give me a shout!
