Skills & Interests
I am interested in a number of avenues for creative expression. I love playing guitar and other musical instruments either by myself or, preferably, with others. Photography is another activity that I enjoy as it allows me to activate my visual creativity. I also love combining my love of travel and photography together, trying to create new and interesting perspectives on famous cities and sites.
If you have done work internationally, where and in what capacity?
I spent the summers of 2011 and 2012 as a camp counsellor in Spain teaching English to Spanish kids aged 7-15 in a camp environment. I will be going back this summer (2013) for another two month contract. I also spent two months teaching English in Thailand with the Mirror Foundation in the fall of 2009.
If you are willing to volunteer, in what area(s):
curriculum development, digital media, fund-raising, grant research/writing, internships, marketing, membership outreach, mentor teaching, organisational partnerships, researchers, technology support, translation, EBB on Campus, workshop facilitation
How did you hear about us and a few words why you want to join EBB:
I have a friend who worked at one of your camps in Korea a couple years ago. I would love to join EBB because I feel that education is the means to a better life, regardless of what your socio-economic status is. I feel that EBB represents that ideology and that my easy going, fun, and professional personality fits that ideology perfectly.
