"Talking Historically" with young students

This is an aspect of teaching I'm most passionate about- I think that students who can't yet read and write can still engage in critical inquiry, and it's also an important way to develop historical thinking skills for when they can read and write. Finding an approach that empowers them to use abilities they already have is key.
