United States Department of State. Consultant. Conference Title: SPEAK UP! General Framework for the Development of National Strategy for Protection of Children Against Violence. In a three-phase program, work with the U. S. Embassy, the British Counsel, and the NGO Civic Initiatives in developing a national anti-bullying protocol. Conference participants represented a wide-range of non-profit organizations and government agencies, including the Ministries of the Interior, Health, and Education. Facilitated policy development with conference participants and developed the following presentations: What We Know About Bullying: An Across Borders Review; An Overview of the U. S. Anti-bullying Initiatives & the National Campaign STOP BULLYING NOW!; and What We Know About Anti-Bullying Efforts: Effective and Misdirected Approaches. The Montgomery Academy provided professional leave to undertake the project. The Serbian Ministry of Education adopted the protocol in April 2007. Contact: Inga McMichael (U. S. State Department).
