Yes it would be great to get connected....
send me your email and I will write you...Laura
The Study is quite the prestigious school. Have you been teaching there for long?
I don't currently keep a blog, but I do want to start one at the beginning of the school year, along with a website for my students and a repertory of all the links I've bookmarked over time, all related to ICT and other school subjects. I'm still new on the teaching scene, but I've found so many teacher blogs in the past few months that have been quite inspiring, so I'm hoping to join that network in the near future!
Keep in touch!
Nick
it's nice to meet a fellow Montreal-area ICTish colleague :) I taught at Collège Charlemagne (in Pierrefonds) for three years, and will be going back next August. Right now though, I'm completing the Formation à l'éducation program at the U of Ottawa. My initial undergrad was in MIS at Concordia, but once I started teaching at my old high school, I fell in love with the profession!
Slowly but surely, I'm starting to develop a network of like-minded professionals and a whole lot of ICT-related resources.
From reading your blog (very interesting!), I'd eventually like get involved in promoting new ways of integrating technology into the classroom. Also, I'm planning to be in Africa during the summer of 2011 for some travelling and volunteering, so it would be great to do it through TWB!
So what school do you teach at in Montreal?
Thanks for the warm welcome!
Nick
I happen to get to your website today after the number of emails. This Charles and you can also get me on http://twbcanda.ning.com/profile/cradjah. Interesting work on your trip to South Africa.
I haven't had time to breathe this month nor to thank you for coming to ICE! It was great to spend a bit of time with you! I think your sessions were really well received and inspirational.
I'm off to Wisconsin this weekend for WEMTA and will see Jen at this conference. One of my sessions is on global education and I'm planning on discussing your work. I'm giving participants a link to your toolkit spreadsheet in case they'd like to add their two cents if you don't mind! I'd love to see what people are suggesting.
Anyway, let's keep in touch...

From your bio it seems that we have similar teaching backgrounds, i.e. ELA, ICT, Literacy. At the risk of sounding self-promoting my book, The Struggle for Literacy, was published a few months ago. I am also very much involved in media literacy associations, provincially and nationally which I co-founded.
I'm anxious to discuss these things with you.

Looking forward to meeting you in March.

We met at the Study at Chris Betcher's workshop. I work at St. George's as a tech consultant.
